On 7 June, in the last weeks of the French Presidency of the Council of the EU, the European Parliament and the Council reached a provisional political agreement on the draft directive on adequate minimum wages in the EU at a time where inflation is skyrocketing.

He has previously worked both in the private and public sector, and was Romania’s Minister for Labour, the Family, Social Welfare and the Elderly in 2016-17.
